Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently fights at the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports career in the form of a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and was defeated by Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina continued to win and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 and the 2016. IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She managed to take home the second-round TKO fight, and the subsequent two fights during the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003, resulting in the record being 3-0. Shevchenko put on a pause from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing, and she made her comeback to fight Anissa Haddaoui Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa via unanimous decision and the next day, she defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she quit the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior striking abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. The result was that Antonina received an UFC contract. Antonina was offered her a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight via unanimous decision.
